OMG OMG OMG
such a late reply i know... my d300s has a "quiet" shutter mode, that still works at full speed, colour and clarity! i use it when im shooting close proximity shots with a horse that might be apprehensive of the sound... deffffff recommend it!!

i think the only difference is that it will not shoot at a continual highspeed. It will still shoot at 1/6000 etc, but it wont take 9fps
