Oh wow, the summer has gone by sooo quickly!
First off i would like to apologize for my extended absence, show season became an absolute chaotic non stop mess, and for the brief periods where i was home, i slept, did laundry, and packed/unpacked.
Secondly, i came back to an overwhelming amount of comments, favourites, and new watchers! Thank you so much to all of those who continue to support my art, and to those who have recently discovered it! It means the world to me to be able to share my photos in such a positive atmosphere.
Now onto business.
I have a PLETHORA (plethora is such a great word... rarely used, but so amazing.) of horse show photography as well as some fun HDR shots i did over the summer, and look forward to sharing them with you. Primarily they are hunter/jumper photos, but i am currently shooting a dressage championship series and there will be photos from there as well. They will *hopefully* begin to hit your inboxes soon, however i am having an infuriating time dealing with adobe right now, who invalidated my new version of photoshop. Im currently working to resolve this. Hopefully i will have a way to watermark my photos soon!
I have decided to take a year off from school to focus on some health issues/ work my ass off/ ski/ pay off my horse/ horse show in California. I've officially differed my admission till september 2013, exciting, but apart of me wants to be in school right now
I think as a supplement to my show photography i may purchase some fun wide angle/landscape lens and start taking shots on my ski trips. Anyone have any suggestions for lenses? are you selling anything? Comment/ message me please!
Now for those who would like an update on the equestrian side of myself...
Trick has been doing PHENOMENAL. Our first show together was the beginning of july and we championed both the small working hunters and modified junior hunters at thunderbird show park. The following show we moved up to the Junior hunters and had an amazing time, my first time ever showing at 3'6" with some great results! We also went down to evergreen and showed in the "billionaire" division and had some incredible trips and amazing results out of one of the most competitive junior fields i have ever seen. We even got a 4th in the age break equitation, which was HUGE. who would have thought lol. We did the juniors at august thunderbird, which, for those of you that don't know, if the largest non series horse show in north america next to the masters. Easily the most competitive field i have ever showed against. Biggest fences I've ever seen too. I had such an amazing time and came home with some nice prizes. But my god, i ended up with the most incredible horse on the planet. never thought i would be showing at 3'6" this year let alone placing in the juniors! Very happy
here is to a good winter of training... and were going to thermal for weeks 4 & 5, very much looking forward to it!
Did anyone read all of this? If you did, you get a gold star.
